Supportive services
Unity Cafe will provide
meals and supportive services in a therapeutic environment. Participants must be homeless or in threat of being homeless,
have no recent history of violence and must be willing to work toward self-sufficiency.
People wishing to become guests of Unity Cafe will
have to visit the site during Open Case Management hours. At Open Case Management prospective participants meet with Supportive
Services staff to discuss the specifics of their situations and assess what programs are appropriate. If Unity Cafes programs
do not fit a person*s needs , the Case Manager will provide referrals to partner agencies that can provide appropriate services.
Open Case Management appointments
will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.***
Training and employment services
Unity Cafe will offer The Employment Project, preparing individuals to seek and find employment
in any field, and the Unity cafes kitchens culinary-skills training program, which provides comprehensive preparation for
employment in the food service industry.
Employment Services
Participants must be at least 18 years old, homeless or at risk of homelessness, willing to seek
employment, and committed to seeking and maintaining a positive lifestyle that will be supported through employment.
To enroll in the four-week
Employment Preparation Training class, prospective participants will come to an informational orientation at Unity Cafe and
complete the intake process. Before being enrolled in our program.
